CFP®, RMA®, Operations Director/Financial Planner

Sensible Money

Kathleen Mealey joined Sensible Money after a corporate career, spending 9 years as a major account executive at Verizon. She then made a strategic decision to find a different path, so she could spend more time raising her daughter. Kathy was naturally drawn to financial planning as she saw the need for objective advice that was not influenced by traditional sales motives. Kathy's clients are primarily smart, financially healthy families who are looking for guidance on near-term financial decisions, how to build wealth over time, and how their wealth can deliver a consistent sustainable level of retirement income. Kathy is a Certified Financial Planner® and a Retirement Management Advisor®. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Vermont and pursued her Master's in Business from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She received her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University, is a member of both the Financial Planning Association/Massachusetts Chapter and the Investments and Wealth Institute. Before joining Sensible Money, Kathy worked for Cabot Wealth Management, Inc. in Massachusetts, and for Optimum Growth Advisors, LLC, an investment management firm with offices located in Massachusetts and New York. Outside of work, Kathy is an avid equestrian and in addition to spending time at the barn, loves spending as much time as possible with her husband Tom and daughter Kelly.
