Michael Sheppard is a group vice president for the Great Lakes Advisor Group at Thrivent, a Fortune 500 diversified financial services organization that helps people achieve financial clarity, enabling lives of meaning and gratitude. Prior to joining Thrivent, Sheppard was the founder and managing partner at IronwoodDrive Financial Group and has over fifteen years of experience as a financial advisor and leader. Sheppard has a degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University, where he was also the captain of the football team. He holds FINRA Series 6, 63, 7, 51, and 24 securities registrations, as well as, Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) and Certified Exit Planning Advisor designations. Sheppard believes in the power of a great team and strong community. He is active in the Milwaukee, WI community serving on the board for Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, among other non-profit and community organizations. He and his family reside in Milwaukee, WI. In his free time, Sheppard can be found boating or having family game nights.
